Born in Cologne (Germany) in ’84, I got my first photo camera at age 5, my first filming experience at 8 and learned to develop negatives at 13. As it goes, sports and music then took over my life until the moment I set out to study and subsequently obtain a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at RWTH Aachen University, specializing in acoustics. Thanks to wide-ranging influences of friends and strangers during my studies, travels, on tours and as an expat, I soon re-discovered my love for photography and for attempting to capture ephemeral moments not only in sound, but also in image. To this day I cannot imagine to stop working with either of these two particular senses, leading to my work as an independent photographer and acoustic research engineer.
As a photographer, I currently specialize in music, sports and events, with further interests being editorial and studio work. If working for a client, I enjoy building long-term relations, which generally yield a deeper and much more effortless understanding than fleeting one-time engagements. Hence, I do only work for business clients. To get an impression of my work I invite you to browse through the respective galleries on this website.
